Dislikes:
cooked carrots (both of us)
Green beans (Daniel)
Cooked Spinach (Daniel)
Rutebaga, turnips, etc. (both of us)

Baby Bunnies and a Suit
We saw a bunny family in the backyard. Mom saw the baby first, pointing the itsy darling creature out to Luke. It was staying very close to the mommy bunny. Luke asked where the daddy was ("Dadda?") , and we found him across the yard waiting for his family (and guarding the open side of the yard).

After 20 years of declaring "I will never wear a suit!" I bought one today. When Daniel first heard my pronouncement, he took it as a challenge. A year and a half later, he won. But, I still declare that most women's suits are hideous. And women would be better served by wearing something more feminine (a point Daniel agrees with).
It is very Jackie O (YAY!) esp. with a hat and gloves. Its a creamy white wool with a huge gorgeous portrait collar. Very First-Lady-esque. I can't wait to wear it to SGA functions!!!

Hurt
"A little later she came to a spell which would let you know what your friends thought about you." - Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C. S. Lewis
I know what Lucy felt when finding out what others say of you when you're not around. Except, I didn't have to use a spell.
"I don't think I'd ever be able to forget what I heard her say." - Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C. S. Lewis
--------------
Just to clarify: its not a close friend. Really, I shouldn't have been suprised. But I was hoping for the best from that person.

New Job!
I have a new job, starting in the fall! I will be a ceramics teacher at a small art place that is designed to supplement a homeschool education. They had been looking for someone with a BFA in ceramics (I am one year away from that!), understands homeschool families (I was homeschooled k-12), and is a Christian. Though their studio space is small, it is very sophisticated, and rivals even KSU's art department for supplies and equipment. I will be thrilled to be working with children again (I will probably have classes with children of all ages up through middle school. I won't be able to teach high school until I have my degree), but I am nervous about creating lesson plans and actually teaching a group! But I definitely know that God provided this job for me, and He will supply the wisdom and grace needed.

From What, Vampires?
I decided to wear my gold cross every day of Holy Week. Not sure why, but I wanted to , and so I did. The other day at work, a lady commented on it: its very unusual. Not the cross itself, which a pretty, small simple cross, but the chain is. Its very very sparkly.
Anyway, back to my story. I explained to my customer why I was wearing it. She asked why I didn't wear it more often. "Because its gold," I explained. "I wear mostly silver jewelry."
"Then why don't you get a silver one?"
I nodded uncommittedly.
"Besides," my customer added, "the cross necklace protects you, don't you think?"

Hello from the University
Hi, this is the Art Department at the university that Greta attends. We have her held hostage in one of the kilns. Do not notify the police, do not attempt to find her, do not pass go. We will not let her go until you compy with our demands. But we, as a whole department, are such indecisive procrastinators, that we haven't decided what our demands are going to be. So, you choose. Give us lots of money, a crown, or do Greta's math homework for her (so we get more of her time slaving for our benefit).
Thank you for your co-operation
The Art Department
