Daniel and I found this secretary/china cabinet at an antique store one Sunday afternoon. We added French script paper to the back to cover up the gaudy gold paint.
Its a secretary because it has a drop down desk. But I store dishes and china in that part to!
For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows {present} grace and favor and {future} glory {honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss}! ~Psalm 84:11 Amplified Version

April Fools!
Daniel and I continued my families tradition for April Fool's Day: strange and unusual place settings! We don't mess with the food, just what one eats the food with. I created a bag of each person's place setting so that it would be a surprise when they sat down. Sometimes I have a theme in mind as I'm picking out things: teeny-tiny (doll saucer for a plate; toothpick for a fork); giant (cutting board for a plate; meat cleaver, knife); or tea party themed. This time, though, I didn't theme each bag.
For dinner that night, we had a baked potato bar. It accommodates varying food preferences as well as allergies.
